Kalani Surf School is a Hawaiian family owned and operated small business. We are West Oahu’s first choice when it comes to family-friendly surf instruction! We bring you premier lessons at our secret, secluded beach, away from the over-packed crowds of Waikiki because the last thing you want when learning to surf is dodging other beginners at breaks with hundreds of people. Our secret lesson spot provides you with a fun, and most importantly, SAFE experience where you won’t have to worry about being ran over by other surfers, injured by flying boards, or intimidated by locals. Our lesson plans are packed with knowledge from native Hawaiians about the sport of He’e Nalu (surfing) and we also educate you on the best way to respect and enjoy our āina (land). We have USLA certified lifeguards on our team and life-long experienced watermen and women who are stoked to share their lifelong passion of surf, the ocean, and their Hawaiian culture with you! Whether you’ve never surfed before or have experience and are looking to advance your skills, book your surf adventure with us and become a part of our ‘Ohana (family).

You don’t want your day at the beach ruined by being unprepared and no one wants to deal with the hassle of shopping while on vacation. Plus, what are you going to do with all your beach gear when it’s time to catch your flight back home? We have you covered!
We offer a full beach bum rental package which includes everything you need for your days on the beach. & when it’s time to head to the airport, no stress! You just return your rental back to us or have it picked up by our team, rather than scrambling to find somewhere to dump it and contributing to more waste.
